Autism Speaks Swimming and Water Safety Scholarship Fund selects eligible programs and organizations providing swimming and water safety instruction to individuals with autism to provide scholarships for financially disadvantaged children and adults to attend.
Autism Speaks encourages individuals with autism and their families to contact local swimming lesson providers in order to take advantage of this unique opportunity.
Status: Application open, funding awarded on a quarterly basis.
The Autism Speaks Local Grant program accepts grant applications from service providers around the country for awards of up to $5,000 addressing the areas of education/training, recreation and community activities, young adult/adult services and technology.
Status: Closed. All applicants for the 2016 cycle have been notified of their status via email as of January 19.
The new Autism Speaks Technical Assistance Grants for Small Businesses aim to increase employment opportunities by connecting entrepreneurs with autism and other small business owners with autism-specific employment consultants who can provide customized technical assistance and help those businesses expand. This request for applications is for funding available for three Regional Grants to technical assistance (TA) experts or disability employment consultants. Grantees will receive up to $35,000 to provide Technical Assistance.
The Autism Speaks Baker Summer Camp Program selects eligible camps in the United States to identify qualified campers and offer scholarship funds for financially disadvantaged children with Autism Spectrum Disorder to attend a summer camp.
Autism Speaks encourages individuals with autism and their families to contact local camp organizations in order to take advantage of this unique opportunity.
The Brian & Patricia Kelly Postsecondary Scholarship Fund selects eligible colleges, vocational/technical schools and transition programs in the United States to identify qualified students or clients with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and offer scholarship funds for these individuals to attend.
Autism Speaks encourages individuals with autism to contact colleges, vocational/technical schools and transition programs in order to take advantage of this unique opportunity.
Autism Speaks Cares provides support for families affected by autism during natural disasters and other catastrophic life events. The program helps families to cover costs associated with critical expenses related to the well-being of the family member with autism on a case-by-case basis.
Please note, we DO NOT fund monthly recurring costs such as rent, mortgages, utilities, or car payments.
Families must first speak with a representative from the Autism Response Team and then complete an online application to determine final eligibility.
